Small Bytes relaunches at the French Cultural Center
Wheeler del Torro is closing out the Barrio season for the summer and relaunching Small Bytes.
Small Bytes are an import from the dot.com scene of the 1990s. Del Torro’s company launched Small Bytes in 1993 in San Francisco. Small Bytes dinner parties launched dot.coms, and threw pink slip parties when the bubble burst.
Inspired by John Walker’s The Hacker’s Diet, del Torro sees Small Bytes as a conduit to bring healthy, high quality food to the tech community. The food available at 3 AM when hackers and start ups look up from their work are not foods that offer boosts to energy, health, or brain power. Small Bytes also provide an alternative to traditional “networking events,” encouraging guests to form natural connections over gourmet tapas menus.
For this event, del Torro has orchestrated
Small Bytes will launch in Boston at the French Cultural Center on June 19th at 8:30 to 10:00 pm. Interested parties are encouraged to email firstname.lastname@example.org to request an invitation or for more information. Guest chef will be announced soon!
